 About Our Style

We are a traditonal karate school teaching the art of Shorin-Ryu Matsubayashi-Ryu karate-do. Matsubayashi-Ryu was founded by Master Shoshin Nagimine in 1947, but can be closely traced back to the original art of Te (which is hundreds of years old). You will find traditional Karate taught at our school with a high level of disipline all while sweating and having fun.

About Our Business

Our dojo in Forsyth has been in business for over 23 years. Michael Brewster, a 3rd degree black belt, is the owner and instructor. We have recently opened a second school in Macon on Zebulon Road. Classes are taught in Macon by Josh McLemore, one of Sensei Brewster's top students with over 9 years of training.

Owner and Head instructor

Started training under Kemuel Ronis at age thirteen in 1993. He received his Black Belt in 1998 his Senior year of high school. He continued training while at college and attained 2nd degree in 2000. He graduated with a dual degree (Business and Early Childhood Education) and became a 3rd degree Black Belt in 2006.
